A grimoire is not a cookbook or spellbook like you could find on your great aunt's attic - no, this grimoire has notes scribbled all over - notes by people who went before you and shared their knowledge and expertise to help you perfect your skills. Think of how Harry Potter was bad at Potions, but excelled at it with the notes of the Half-Blood Prince.
